Summary

Drivers must move a lane over or slow down when approaching a stopped emergency or specified utility vehicle with flashing lights.

"On approaching a stationary authorized emergency vehicle, a law enforcement vehicle, a tow truck or other vehicle or equipment with flashing lights that is stopped on a highway, the driver of another vehicle shall: 1. Vacate the lane closest to the stationary vehicle if safe to do so and if a lane is available. 2. If a lane change is unsafe or unavailable, slow to a speed that is reasonable and prudent under the conditions and pass the stationary vehicle with due caution."
