Illinois Firearm Concealed Carry Act

Summary

Illinois was the last state in the U.S. to legalize the concealed carry of firearms. The state requires a rigorous application process and mandates strict 'gun-free zones.'

Carrying a concealed weapon without a CCL, or carrying it into a prohibited 'safe zone,' is a Class B misdemeanor for the first offense and can result in the revocation of your FOID and CCL.
