Rights & Rules
- 01.You have the right to use deadly force against anyone who unlawfully and forcefully enters your home, place of business, or occupied vehicle.
- 02.The law presumes that if someone is breaking in, they intend to commit an unlawful act involving force or violence, so you do not have to wait to see a weapon before defending yourself.
- 03.You have absolutely no duty to retreat from these places before using force.
- 04.You are fully immune from being sued by the intruder or their family for any injuries or death you cause while defending your property.
Penalties
- 01.This protection does not apply if the person entering has a legal right to be there (like a landlord doing a scheduled inspection or a police officer serving a warrant).
