Summary

Oregon was the first state in the U.S. to legalize the supervised, therapeutic use of psilocybin (magic mushrooms) for adults 21 and older.

Rights & Rules

01.
Adults 21 and older can legally purchase and consume psilocybin at a state-licensed 'psilocybin service center.'
02.
You do NOT need a medical prescription or a specific medical diagnosis to use the services.
03.
You CANNOT buy the mushrooms to take home. They must be consumed entirely on-site under the direct supervision of a state-licensed facilitator.
04.
You must attend a mandatory 'preparation session' with the facilitator before taking the substance.

Penalties

01.
Possessing, selling, or using psilocybin outside of the licensed service centers remains illegal under both state (decriminalized but subject to fines) and federal law.
