Campus Carry (SB 11)

Summary

Permit holders (LTC) may carry concealed handguns on the campuses of public universities, subject to specific 'gun-free' zones designated by the institution.

Rights & Rules

  • 01.
    LTC holders can carry inside university buildings unless prohibited by signs.
  • 02.
    Universities must provide notice (Section 30.06) for areas where carry is banned.
  • 03.
    Does not apply to open carry on campus.

    Class A Misdemeanor for carrying in a prohibited zone on campus.
